I am having so much fun with this cute little game.

3rd boss fight has a bug where if you use wink and kill multiple or all the sisters at once the boss doesn’t gain the weakness listed in the guide

Where in the final dungeon do you have to stand to fight ???, ill probably find it by the time anyone reads this but just incase and for other players

I really loved this game! The visuals were, of course, stunning especially the tums, but I also liked the conceit of of the combat system, where enemies can be defeated through brute strength but also through experimentation, finding the fastest and most efficient way to get them stunned. I will note, however, that the optimal solution to many enemies, particularly in tier 4, was to stun them and then pat them for a 30 seconds to a minute in order to recoup lost health. This slowed down combat a great deal, and overall made for a not terribly fun tier 4, despite the enemy and map design being especially good in that area. I might recommend limiting 'pat' so that the optimal approach no longer takes a long time, or creating a more powerful action that drains the health of stunned enemies only, in order to speed up combat without actually changing the difficulty. Additionally, I think a cut-scene viewer from the main menu or from the room would be both a great QOL update, both to prevent having to refight the dark queen to look at an ending again, and to track completion.

Overall, I found this to be a remarkably polished game, not just for a small, admittedly niche audience, but also for any indie RPG-Maker game. The UI and art-style were cohesive, appealing, and simple, without any unnecessary noise or unnecessarily specific inventory categories. As a final note, I really enjoyed both 9 Months and Overnight, but this is an enormous step up in both scope and quality. I seriously recommend you keep making games, HellBrains! They have, this one especially, something special and hard to find!

No for android?

You can download an app named Maldives. There you can play games that was made on RPGmaker. The app is free and you can easily understand the app, hope it helps

Nice game, spent a good few hours and completed mostly everthing aside from one of the secret earrings. Btw, does poking the goddess do anything? I was expecting some secret dialogue but never got anything different

it’s just for fun!

when I got the mimic stone, I thought I could find lore if I talk to the goddess. but little did I know that it was just cosmetic! I spent like 90 minutes trying to see if there was a secret.... 0/10 game I have permanent eye bags now.

I can't find the end c, please help

I guess I'm a bit confused, I read the directions from the cheat sheet on how to find the secret earing and the goblin city, but I just can't find them. Other than that, this is an incredible game, love the graphics too.

In the horizontal hallway of the final floor (before the last safe room) where the two locked doors leading to treasure chests are, go to the left side of the hallway and look at the left wall. You should see a bit of the floor in front of it looking a bit off. That's where the passage to the goblin city is.

Was also struggling to find it thanks.

No endings:C ?

There is. If you can't find it, check the supplied cheat-document ;)

Is there an ending to this game?

靈魂太多的奧爾瓦很可愛

I am absolutely in love with this game, I do have to ask, Bev looks super familiar(found her character sprite in the files), was she in a comic? I've been looking for it for years

(+1)

Bev is a character that belongs to @GrossPierrot on twitter, he's mostly a writer and retweets a lot of art, maybe you'll find it there!

I finished the game with the 2 endings and it's really great like your 2 previous games :)

How do i even defeat the third ghost boss?? i tried giga slappihg it but it aint dying???

(+1)

If you're talking about the Horror, you have to defeat the Sisters individually, then slap it regularly. There's been an issue with that particular fight occasionally and I'll address it in the next update!

loved it, the gameplay got frustrating at times but visuals and enemy variety is amazing.

The ??? Fight really caught me off guard because I went afk and came back to it XD. Is there a reason it’s there besides being a spooky Easter egg?

Just spooky haha

Love the presentation in this, the music and visuals are awesome! Gameplay wise, I can't say I have any gripes that haven't already been mentioned(mainly how it can get a bit grindy), but they didn't keep me from enjoying the experience. Very good stuff!

Fantastic game! The visuals are amazing, the gameplay is fun, and I just love it all, great job!

I just stopped playing it for the first time since it came out haha

Excellent game! Had a lot of fun playing and figuring out how to defeat the different enemies (and also look at tums while doing so). Still gotta complete it, but so far, awesome work!

Thanks! Means a lot!

Thank you HellBrains for another wonderful game. I just finished it and have a few things I want to say.

There is so much love and care that went into this game and it really shows. From the custom music that sets the mood well to the animations for the attacks to the full tileset of the game to the unique enemy behaviors and beyond. Additionally there’s so many wonderful preg artworks everywhere for the various enemies, player sprites, artist references, and more. No one can deny that this game looks visually amazing and is a treat for the eyes in all aspects.

But sadly the core gameplay loop really didn’t jive well with me personally. I have little patience for grindy RPGs and that’s definitely the core of the gameplay here. Having to make 2+ or even 3+ trips at the bare minimum just to unlock the progression really disrupted the flow of the game for me. This might’ve been fine but the combat gets repetitive fast especially since there is so little player progression to breathe new life into combat. The few abilities unlocked are nice but half of them are strict upgrades over previous spells (outside of a few niche enemy interactions). Because of how obnoxious it was to farm souls, I found myself never willing to part with any at the shop because it would’ve meant more repetitive grinding. Some suggestions could be to make souls drop in larger amounts to reduce the grind slightly and possibly make the recall stone a permanent key item just as a QoL.

This is a great game but the core gameplay loop definitely hindered my personal enjoyment of the incredible feats everywhere else in the game. With some adjustments, many of these annoyances could be eased so the amazing parts of the game can shine even brighter. I might go back for the secret endings at some point because those are always a treat to see.

Thanks for the kind words, and for the criticism haha. I'll probably go back over it and make some tweaks here and there, because honestly a lot of what you pointed out was what I was a bit worried about.

But regardless! This is the first time I really wanted to make it more of a GAME game, so I expected a couple screwups haha.

I'll see about implementing some of these suggestions, thank you!

How do you face the thing in chambers of darkness?

save doesn't work

img/characters/z1.png failed to load

weird! It worked just fine in all my play tests. I’ll take a look at it and get that fixed soon, thank you!

This usually happens to me when rpg maker doesn't copy the image to the deployment folder!
